I’m pretty sure they took the Hantavirus flavored Krusty-Os off the market years ago.

I thought Krusty Brand Chew-Goo gum-like substance only contained spider eggs. That came out of left field.

I could see family, especially his, not being in contact with them for a few weeks maybe. I would think he'd have a remote monitored pacemaker so a little odd nobody noticed there was no activity for almost 7 days or so. Very sad situation. It's hard to fathom Alzheimers.

Hantaviruses can infect and cause serious disease in people worldwide. People get hantavirus from contact with rodents like rats and mice, especially when exposed to their urine, droppings, and saliva. It can also spread through a bite or scratch by a rodent, but this is rare.

Hantaviruses cause two syndromes. Hantaviruses found in the Western Hemisphere, including here in the U.S., can cause hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS). The most common hantavirus that causes HPS in the U.S. is spread by the deer mouse.

Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a group of clinically similar illnesses caused by hantaviruses found mostly in Europe and Asia. However, Seoul virus, a type of hantavirus that causes HFRS, is found worldwide, including in the United States.

Why do you see that, Spaulding? I don't get it.

I've considered that a nobody like me would go a month before I was discovered dead. That makes perfect sense.

But not Gene Hackman. His kids, his Hollywood friends. Nobody talked to him or his wife for 2 weeks. It's true obviously. I just don't get it. His wife wasn't famous but nobody checked on her for a week either. Then some how he lasted a week without her. Breaks my heart that nobody cared about them. And for nobodys like them.

I love this scene. "I'll make it" About the 1:00 mark.

But Hackmen's look on his eyes was great when talking to the boys.

His kids are probably in their 60s or 70s so idk if they are in good health or what their time and lifestyle is like. My mom's parents lived in MN we saw them 2-3 times a year and my mom may have talked to them once every few weeks to once a month. That was when they were in their 60s or 70s. As they got older it was less just because of timing, you can't really call an 80 year old much after say 8 maybe not even that late.

When I moved out I'd say I talked to them once a month or so. They'd call me and I'd call them on holidays and stuff. My grandfather had Alzheimers. The last time I called to wish him a Happy Birthday I talked to my grandma who answered the phone for a few minutes and she said she'd hand the phone over to my grandfather. I don't think he really understood it was his birthday and he definitely did not understand I was his grandchild. She became frustrated and it made her sad and she yelled a bit. The agitation wasn't worth it sometimes. I could see family retreating a bit and the household isolating a bit. It's what you would say is the easiest way for everybody.

People in their 80s and 90s are usually tired and aren't really social especially if they are ill. He obviously wasn't capable of talking to anybody so any contact would be with his wife. Maybe they check on her every few weeks or whatever. If somebody did call and got no answer maybe it was normal for her to call them back in a week or so when she had time. Who knows what their situation was? I'm surprised they didn't have any type of nurse visit or care for him even if it was just weekly.

Looks like his children are going to luck out and get his $80m estate even though he wrote them out of his will. He wanted everything to go to his wife—and she specified her estate would go to charity—but because it was determined she died a few days before Hackman, his money may go to them after all.

Seems to be a poor job by the lawyer who did the will.

I dont know how you fall out with your kids so much to the point that you cut them ALL out of your will. Ol' Geno seems like he mightve been an odd duck ( of death) in his personal life.

On Friday, TMZ reported that Gene’s will left nothing to his three children and everything to Betsy, who was also listed as the sole executor of the will, citing a trust agreement made Sept. 22, 1995. The will was written in June 2005 and submitted in the Santa Fe County court on March 6, People reported.

TMZ also reported that Betsy’s will leaves most of her assets to Gene, yet a provision states that if they died within 90 days of each other, their deaths would be considered simultaneous; Betsy’s will states that in this case, all of her assets would go to charity.

On Friday, a source close to the Hackmans told The Hollywood Reporter that Gene had a trust established and that in terms of his assets, his will is going to “ultimately leave everything to the trust.” A trust is a legal arrangement wherein an individual arranges a transfer of assets to a trustee, who manages them for the benefit of one or multiple beneficiaries.

Details on Gene’s trust are not a matter of public record, so it is unclear who will receive the reported $80 million in his estate following his death. That aside, the actor’s adult children seem to have a glimmer of hope of receiving a piece of the sizable fortune.

In a September 1995 agreement, Gene appointed the remainder of a trust, called the GeBe Revocable Trust, in favor of Betsy as the successor, People reported. Following the death of the attorney set up as an executor in the event of Betsy’s death in 2019, Julia Peters was appointed as Gene’s second successor for personal representation of his estate; Peters is chief counsel at Santa Fe investment firm Avalon Trust.

Following the actor’s death, Peters filed court documents alongside Gene’s will that identify Christopher, Elizabeth and Leslie as his heirs, People reported. At the time, Peters was also deemed by the court as the informal personal representative of Gene’s estate moving forward.

Winning on a technicality is the most satisfying victory of all.

Those kids watched the wife complete a Hail Mary at the last second only to see it called back on an illegal formation.

So at this point it would be up to whatever charity that the wife wanted the money to go to contest it now ? Looks like the new trust lawyer is naming the kids as beneficiaries. If she has the legal authority to do that , I dont see how the kids dont get it .
