I believe that a 30 something marathon runner died from it. Not sure if he had some health issues but I would generally call a marathon runner healthy.

Running 26 miles straight seems an unhealthy thing to do. I assume your body would take time to recover and during that time a marathon runner would be vulnerable.

We are now treating human life as infinitely valuable. Which is kind of weird because we've never done that before.

There is a video of three dead kid bodies being wrapped up in one body bag because there was a shortage.

I almost wonder if there is an extended exposure risk that is not being reported? Not a reinfection. Something like if you already have it, and are around a great number of people all breathing in and exhaling the virus that could amplify the lethality.

Elective procedures are being cancelled all around the country. This costs hospitals massive amounts of money. Why would they be doing this?

How about this. I predict by Monday afternoon there will be at least 3 areas of the United States with hospitals reporting that they are at or above capacity in terms of ICU beds to treat patients. The early front runners seem to be Washington State, California, and New York though it is likely to start in major population centers. Tell me I'm wrong. I'll bump this on Monday afternoon and admit you were right if it doesn't happen and you do the same if it does.

Down in Georgia my wife’s company had a case at corporate in Atlanta and now a second case in the plant 100 miles away. Neither employee traveled to the other site. Seems a bit unlucky that 2 of Georgia’s 150 cases happened at the same company 100 miles away.

Or it’s spreading everywhere here and no one can be tested. Total employees for the company is about 20k

The death rate, especially during the peak of the pandemic, is virtually meaningless. Hospitalization rate is far more important.

I've read that it could have been in the U.S. since November or perhaps even earlier. I didn't really think much of it until now but in December I had a really bad cold that caused my lungs to make noises like I had never experienced before. I'm not saying I had COVID-19, but I think it's a possibility.

The virus I've had didnt seem to hit my lungs quite as hard this year. I tested negative for influenza. They treated me with a round of Z-pack for bronchitis, even though it was likely a virus. I feel pretty good, but cough up goop every so often. My kid and I have basically been giving each other something back and forth since the holidays...although he did test positive for flu-B.

My brother-in-law had a bad respiratory infection in late January that knocked him on his ass, and he'd had his flu shot. He may have had it.
