I only got about the first 30 minutes of the show and while I don't agree with Mike on the T Jones thing, it was irrelavant.

The show was SPORTS. Guys talking and arguing sports from a passion that they believe in.

And guess who wasn't there to just bring down the whole show her untimely comments and misplaced 'Yups' and "you're rights'

Such an easy fix for that show Mike.

I'm with you Big Fan. I don't agree with North on Thomas Jones, but at least you don't have some sports novice chirping in more nonsense.

He can't jettison Annie though, that would burn a bridge with Harvey Wells - and North needs to stay on the good side of his many radio executive pals.

If only Shakey Suntris were Harvey Wells 'companion'. ;)

She's there all right. She offers up her usual laughing in the background, throws in the 'uh huh', 'yes, I agree', 'you are right', more laughs.

Her being on the show reminds me of those "I stayed at the holiday Inn last night' commercials.

I think the show is good when she's not interrupting the flow. Mike will also try and involve her once in a while, and that's also painful.

Yesterday, Mike was way wrong on his Thomas Jones is great, Benson sucks talk, but he got me mad listening to it. That's what makes Mike good - he's able to get reactions with his 'what have you done for me lately' viewpoints on sports.

Mike was discussing going to the OTB and said "You know who gos to the OTB...blue collar guys."

Annie immediately chimes in with "and you".

It sent Pappy into a minute or so discussion of how she was wrong and that he is a blue collar guy.

Funny stuff

He added that it's not what you make, it's how you act. Come to think of it, most of my "blue collar" friends always talk about how they hang at Gibson's five nights a week and are in the process of hiring lawyers to sue people.

Anne then added that once blue collar, always blue collar. You can never change.

My favorite anne add-in this morning was when they were comparing Vasquez's extension to Briggs' situation (ridiculous in its own right). Mike said Briggs is going to have to be keeping an eye on various baseball negotiations, and Anne added "and NASCAR"
