Quote:
But Gabriel Sherman, a journalist for New York Magazine who literally wrote the book on Fox News, reports that “tonight’s show could be his last.” According to Sherman’s sources, lawyers for Fox News “are currently doing a ‘deep dive’ investigation into O’Reilly’s behavior.”
Sherman also reports that James Murdoch, the CEO of 21st Century Fox, wants O’Reilly gone. Murdoch forced out longtime Fox News CEO Roger Ailes last summer over allegations of sexual misconduct.

O’Reilly has not addressed the new allegations of sexual harassment on his show. Fox News, with the exception of a lukewarm statement to the New York Times, has also largely remained silent. Silence, however, has not stemmed the controversy.
So far, at least 77 advertisers have publicly announced they will no longer air commercials during O’Reilly’s show. The number of ads on the show has dramatically declined and large national brands have been replaced with ads for Elvis gospel albums and catheters.

Of course, it's Fox News, so you cut one head off and two grow back.

No chance of that happening. The guy makes more money for that station than ANYONE else could. It almost always comes down to that almighty dollar.

But his advertisers have pulled out. That's the point.

I read this morning he is on a vacation now until 4/24. Also, it mentioned that it was pre-planned. This is supposedly a battle between old man Murdoch and one son against the other son as far as what to do. They recently quietly extended O'Reilly so I am going to guess he stays. His ratings are still up and they will find other advertisers. Of course, they may find more problems with O'Reilly during this vacation and they say bye.

In the end it will only piss off people that watch him and won't affect anything outside of Fox News.

You pinheads don't know what you're talking about. I'll be on television providing the Talking Points to JORR and Juice's Lecture Notes long after smarmy Colbert and that South African mulatto are forgotten. I get more pussy than they do too.

I gotta admit that John Oliver getting the catheter cowboy to do some stuff for Last Week Tonight was pretty good!

This is a smiliar thing that happened to Glenn Beck, where advertisers refused to allow there ads on his show and he was fired. This might happen to O'reilly as high rating no matter how high cannot get advertising dollars then its game over. TV and every other business is about money you generate the business and not about loyalty.

So if papa bear's new fox deal is 4yr/100mil and the settlement is for ~33mil, over the next 4yrs basically 1 out of every 3 shows he does is earning money to pay the sexually harassed woman.

Now idk what kind of scars sexual harassment leaves on a person's psyche going forward, but shouldn't this woman be grateful that the proceeds from ~1/3 of every new O'Reilly factor episodes goes to her? Call it a hunch that's a slight pay-raise for her, and there's plenty of people (let alone women) across the world who wish they coulda got sexually harassed by bill O'Reilly so they can cash out for 32mil and buy a nice car + take a few 5 star vacations thanks to the best sex they never had!

Of course, one of the core tenets of social justice is YOU'LL NEVER WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN and I'm sure papa bear managed to pocket 32mil before this 4yr/100mil deal, so there will surely be protests and boycotts and calls for him to be fired cuz how could you hire a guy who is selling out 32mil for a sexual harassment settlement? Clearly the guy is supposed to pay out every last penny he has for the 32mil and *NEVER* be allowed to work again because social justice = due process is overrated = if we can't put you in jail we CAN make sure you never have another decent job again....

Even tho this extension basically guarantees that the victim gets her 32mil paid in full, i wouldn't be surprised if ppl try to get him fired while the victim is thinking "no let him work plz" cuz losing this contract might mean less money for her!

Not sure how a "nonconsensual sexual relationship" works but it must be pretty bad for 32 mildo, tax-free (I believe).
