So Mike has this guy, Chuck Esposito, who runs the CP book in Vegas. How do you get a job like that?

I know Chuck. He is a nice guy and seems to be pretty good at what he does. Sports book managers earn their stripes the way any corporate hotel/hospitality manager does. Most of the guys work their way up through a sports book and show they have some capability managing a mixed group of professionals and clerical staff. Most of the guys running books in Vegas have the same traits of any good corporate manager. They don't make the numbers though. They might give their consent to the numbers, but they don't make them. LVSC makes the numbers for almost all of the Vegas books.

The best way to get a job like that? Get a degree in Hotel/Hospitality management, understand the sports book business, move to Vegas and start at the bottom working in one.
