Great move, bring in a low rated host to replace the highest rated show in NY. Brilliant move. However, if he is going to NY, I'll bet it isn't for a promotion. Either dismissal or a strong lecture to cut the crap. CBS can't replace someone they let go because the poverty pimp twins objected to, with someone who has racial complaints. Just won't fly.

BTW, I don't like North or his show, but I am really getting tired of the new "offended class" of non listeners to shows. If a show offends you, CHANGE THE F'NG STATION!!!!

Why would anyone care in New York care about a chicago radio show? I wouldn't want to hear a New York morning show in the morning.

I actually listen to a show based out of Washington DC, but they talk about the major sports leagues. I would never listen if it was full of Redskins and Nationals talk.

No, I'm not in DC but I listen to Steve Czaban and now Tony Kornheiser on XM in the morning. Both of whom are Washington DC based but national. I get my chicago sports in the afternoon.

North is not a hot commodity. Period. I don't think his show is that bad when Annie shuts up, but that doesn't mean everyone is reaching out to him to host their morning show. The ratings for his current show have been disappointing at best. When you get paid over $1 million dollars, and you're struggling with Mike and Mike ??? No offense, but this topic should be deleted.

WFAN made serious overtures to the Monsters back in the day. I assume that is the genesis of this rumor. Also the man who gave North 1.7 is now the head of CBS radio. However all of this was many, many poor ratings books ago.

Fenway is in the media (as a cameraman I believe) but he is certainly not involved in any negotiations. It sounds like a Sam Smith rumor to me.

Best national show out there. Better than anything on in the morning and a good complement to MJH and B&B. A good national show that doesn't cover the same topic over and over again, and realizes there are more than 2 teams in baseball.

By the way: The ironic part is that it sounds as if Czaban has at least temporarily replaced Imus on WFAN in New York, at least according to Czaban's show.
