Great guitarist in that Les Paul vein. His son is kind of a douche, he had a weird schmaltzy syndicated weekly Jazz show on WDCB.

This is like a jazz plague. Ellis Marsalis died today too.

I used to listen to John Pizzarelli's weird radio show occasionally. It was good, because I like the occasional Great American Songbook visit, but it's awkward when a radio host plays his own stuff. They should have kept it on, but they had to make room for WFMT's jazz service somewhere.
