This question begs to be asked at last! Is Mike North a star? In his own mind doesn't count. If he is, what makes him so! If not, what are his shortcomings!

What really defines who is a star or who isn't? It might be a matter of personal opinion. I believe a star is someone who is well known among a certain niche group, or perhaps a general group, who is also successful at whatever he or she does. That person generally has to have many many fans . Tom Hanks, is a star. Frank Sinatra, was a star. Geez, even Brittney Spears, was (is?) a star.

Today, the threshold for who is a star has changed a bit. Is Ben Aflac a star (even though many people think he's only been good in one or two movies)? Is Paris Hilton, who has no specific talent whatsoever, and is famous for her appearance in a sex video, or for just being famous herself... is she a star?

North has a ton of haters on this board. His ratings reflect that there are many people who don't like him. But there are others who do. I think in some sense, North was a star years ago. I think he's lost some, or a lot of that star appeal after doing this morning show. Yet CBS Radio (giving him a two-day show in NY), and other people who put him on TV don't realize that his star appeal is mostly gone now.

Just my opinion.

From looking at that picture, Mike has an enormous amount of space for notes (not that it helps him make better points), but it looks like Annie doesn't have much space (it could just be the picture) to 'prepare' for the show.
