I saw ZZ Top in 2013 and while they sounded great, they looked OLD and very much like Sr. Citizens up there.

Great band. Sorry to hear this news.

the recent netfilx documentary on them was outstanding. La Grange is in my top 5 favorite songs ever.

You care so much that it took you nearly a week to reply.

life goes really fast. its weird. you have about 30 years of being 'normal adult' and then it declines rapidly.

I care, as well. A chance to see the live version of a drum machine album that was pretty fucking good.

I'll never forgive those guys for ruining their early catalogue by remixing all those great tunes. It's a fucking abomination.

Awesome Original:

Garbage Remix:

And yet, the awesome originals still exist, so what’s the problem?

It’s the same pointless hand-wringing over the recent George Harrison “All Things Must Pass” re-issue: the original still exists, and is available to hear. If you don’t like the remix, then the original is still there for you.

Meatball is right. That wasn’t always the case though. I seem to recall some time ago a band remixed their stuff and the originals were never to be seen again. Was a big dust up just can’t pull the band.

Its like those awful remedies or whatever you call them of the star wars episode 4 thru 6. Yeah the originals are still out there and maybe you own them on tape or what not but if you're trying to buy a new copy or watch them on stream or if they pop up on a movie channel they're gonna be those garbage remade movies with the retrofit sbit that simply wasn't there in the originals we came to love as children.

!) The original mixes are never played on the radio

2) For years the originals were unavailable in any digital format.

Why ruin your own songs? What's the point?

Yeah, that remix was extremely pussified.
