St. Michael's Catholic Church closing for good this weekend.

Sux.

Church built by Polish immigrants who worked in steel mills.

Modeled after famous church in Krakow.

Truly a sad day.

I never thought that it was a particularly well kept structure. And nowhere near as connected to the neighborhood as the Catholic church five blocks south on Exchange St. where the Mexican flavor is really celebrated.

And fwiw it's not in South Shore. It's a half mile away.
