I just read she went to DGN and was a writer for their paper. Terribly sad.

Side note -- wouldn't birth control be an example of a provoked blot clot? It would obviously take a bit of time to confirm that but it would still be provoked as that is a known (but rare) risk of taking birth control. I broke my ankle a few years ago and developed a DVT after 6 weeks of immobility. That was provoked. Chris Bosh's clots were unprovoked because doctors still don't know why the hell his clots developed.

You are correct, I should have said provoked.

My DVT+PE was triggered by a genetic syndrome, which they didn't know I had until after the fact.

Yeah, I wear compression socks a lot, although I like the grey ones from Bombas which look like I'm referreeing a youth soccer match instead of looking like I'm 80.
