Besides the Norman Mailer hilarity, his biggest abomination is "Fever Pitch". No, not the 2004 Saux Jimmy Fallon thing. This was a movie about sports gambling which promoted gambling, that was backed by Gambler's Anonymous. Apparently.

You wanna talk about shit? That was some shit.

RIP sure but this was a guy that was a good example of doing something early on and just milking a life out of it.

After your Iron man post yesterday I thought about Downey Jrs movies and Chances Are. I had to look up Christopher MacDonald because I always think his name is Christopher Guest. Ryan O'Neal was in it too. I didn't realize he's in his 80s, Christopher Macdonald is almost 70 and his in laws are John McEnroe and Rebecca DeMornay.

how do you go from banging Hollywood hoes to taking pot-shots at and trying to fuck your own badly named offspring. CTE? I'm guessing they didn't have much concern about getting bopped in the head repeatedly sans head-gear when ONeal was training with Cannonball Green.

Tough Guys Don't Dance is David Lynch's best work.

Good flick, excellent sound track. Saw it in the theaters as at the time I was dating a moviegoer girl in school. Felt like it didn't need to be a cinematic release film. Probably today it'd be "prestige TV" on the cable channels or Netflix. They even tried to make a go of a TV series with a more Sherlock-ian actor than Pullman but must've been too early for the Sherlock Holmes revival on TV -- House on Fox, Elementary on CBS and BBC's Sherlock. I liked Cumberbatch's obvious tribute to Jeremy Brett's canonical Sherlock Holmes the best. Tho can't fault the Hackers/Trainspotting guy and Hugh Laurie for foregoing playing a more traditional portrayal of Holmes given the context of those series.

I think you're wrong. Seems like he worked whenever he damn well pleased and was in some pretty good movies.

Both of these had better be good, Hussra.
