Bob Love was on the elementary school assembly tour when I was a kid.

I had no idea who he was, but he came to my school for a K-5 assembly when I was in first grade. At the end of his speech, which was about - who the fuck knows, I was 6 - he had a trivia contest where he’d award prizes. His first question was who is the Bulls PG. I was one of MANY who raised their hands and I was given the first crack at it: BJ Armstrong was the answer, which was fortunate for me as someone who grew up around a bunch of older kids who got to pretend to be Jordan, Pippen, Grant, etc. and I was left with whoever was, ummm, left.

Anyway, I won a Bob Love autographed Bulls’ calendar/schedule that day.
