Truly one of the great failson owners of the NFL, though, if you think about it, and there have been many failson owners of the NFL. Got the state of Indiana to basically give him a free stadium (but then Indiana is a bunch of dumb hicks who are easy to fool), then frittered away millions of his own money just to have the guitar they used for "Free Bird." And lots and lots of drugs. He spent a lot on drugs. And all the while, he was able to secure a baseline competence of sporadic playoff appearances even after losing a generational talent at quarterback.
