Just once Mitch, I would like to hear something on the air in the morning that is a good segment,that sounds like someone put more than 30 seconds of thought into it.

I'm so glad you mentioned that spot. "My job is to see what goes on before it goes ON the air," is the line.

1) wrong emphasis. I would interpret it to go "what goes on before it goes on the AIR," with "air" being the new word introduced, and critical, because he's a PD for a radio station.

2) How does correcting his nearsightedness improve his ability to approve programming in a non-visual medium? Maybe this is a piece of the puzzle.
