Cuban knows he is on the outside looking in. He has been there all season while the Tribune has been negotiating with John Canning, Jr. of Dearborn Madison Partners. Who is also on the Board of Directors of the Brewers, and good friends with Jerry and Bud.


And most likely has not been given all the information that Mr. canning has been given, thus Mark Cuban can't make a real offer, because he does not know what to make an offer on.

I believe that he decided to finally start publicly talking because he knows time is running out on him and if he just sits back and says nothing, the deal will be finished before he gets an offer on the table.

From what I was told once this Zell deal was announced, The Cub deal was in place. Now I have no idea what happens if the Zell deal falls apart.
