No. He'll get the very same amount of money next year that he turned down this year. At least that much. Probably more.

The money he turned down wouldn't have kicked in this year. He still would be playing under his rookie contract that he currently plays under. The deal he turned down was an extension.

Now, if that back problem of his is serious than maybe you're right.

Gordon's the one who may kick himself. I'm not sure how many teams will be anxious to have him start at the two guard. He's a good scorer (despite his shooting percentage this season), but he's a speciality player, more of a 6th man.

LOU is averegaing about 19 a game and they are doing bad.

He may not get $12 mil a season for 5 years, but $10? without a problem I see and he could get more?

Ben on othr hand I agree. He is in some deep shit now. He has not had one game this year when he turned it on in the 4th quarter and he won the game. His value is declining every game.

I don't think there's any chance the Bulls let Deng walk - they will match any offer - that alone is reason to believe he'll get at least what the Bulls offered this off-season because any team that wants him will have to offer a massive deal to entice him, and then probably work out a sign and trade. He's also a very young player still - it's been a slow start for him as well, but I think by the end of the season, he'll have a 20-22 PPG, and about 8 RPG. Basically not happening.

I think Gordon will have to be moved through a sign and trade. I still believe this team is better than it is showing, but they aren't a championship level team. Starting a small 2 guard is a luxery this team doens't have. They may be able to get away with it if they had a low post scorer, but Gordon is a 6th man, and I've been one of his biggest supporters.

There is always someone in the NBA willing to overpay and give a bad contract. Deng will get more money than he deserves on the free agent market.

Now Gordon on the other hand, it's going to take a desperate team to overpay for him. Maybe the knicks need another scorer.
