I know Mike would like everyone to think he has it all now because he makes a lot of money, but his most recent Iconic recognition and his long list of obscure awards got me thinking of the many psych classes I took in college. (I know Mike thinks college is dumb, but that is another chapter)

I actually considered being a shrink, but didn't want to deal with the whackos.

There is actually levels of succesful aging and I am not speaking of monetary units. Part of that success is having children. It allows one to rectify mistakes they have made or attempt to, by guiding their offspring to a better way. While this does not always work, the attempt is what help's you personally develop.

The urge to have children is even stronger in a female than a male and the lack of offspring can alter a persons personality in drastic ways. The need to overcome this void especially in married couples can manifest itself in a number of areas, primarily much more latent attempts at recognition.

This recognition is attained in place of the absence of having children and the inner sense of pride and joy a person feels from their development.

I would like to present Mike North as an adult who has not aged succesfully as Case #1.

Very interesting post, as well. I also hold a piece of paper that says I'm all smart-like in psychology, even went to the extreme of working as a psych examiner in a group home, and hated every minute of it.

Dear Dr. Ed,

I hired a girl half my age to a position she was not qualified for. I find her very attractive. We flirt all the time and spend a number of hours together outside of work.

She now has a boyfriend and I am married, yet we have a certain relationship I would like to take to the next level.

She comes to my house for her birthday, she meets me for lunch on her days off, she comes to every event I have outside of work.

What should I do?
