He said that he watched the last 50 laps, and he thought the whole thing was contrived.
Right, Mikey. Dale Jr. planned to stay out on track while most everyone else hit the pits with around 50 laps to go. He wanted to build the drama.
Casey Mears planned to wreck in the last 10 laps to continue to keep people interested in the race.
I know some people look at this race as a bunch of hayseeds going around in circles. I don't have a "3" tattooed on my arm, and I don't watch every race. I make a point to tune into this event, because I believe it is interesting. I wasn't as glued to the TV like Super Bowl 42, but it was still an enjoyable race.
Contrived. How about the constant references to ND High.
I didn't continue listen. I don't know if he made some reference to stereotypes about NASCAR fans.

i thought it was a heckuva race, although it was disappointing to have the barrage of yellow flags the last 25 laps or so.

i thought it was great to see some of those cars positioning themselves for the end of that race. kurt busch in the #2 miller light car was unbelievable in the last 30 laps. he was biding his time in the back of the draft all day until it was go time, and he just blasted his way to the front. he was the fastest car out there at the end, he almost rolled over newman.

Yes, I'm sure NASCAR rigged it so Ryan Newman would win their biggest spectacle of the year.

In other news, the NFL will be fixing it so that the Tennessee Titans win the Super Bowl next year.

Kudos to NASCAR for knowing the fans wouldn't want to see that annoying Dale Jr. or Tony Stewart win the race.

The NASCAR marketing guy that convinced Dale Earnhardt to kill himself so dramatically on the last turn of the last lap back in '01 must have been quite the salesman.
