I am not a huge fan of the Mike and Mike show, but I do listen. Today they are heavy on the Brett Favre thing. They are right, they make good points, Golic's NFL time makes it at least a good discussion, yet I can't help but feel that I missing something about what The Bear are looking to do.

Problem with that is I know if I tune to The Score, I will get some goof just guessing about who they will sign without knowing who is a free agent, who they really need and how much they have to spend.

Or I could just get a 20 minute story of who he ate lunch with and where they went, with alot of YES YES YES and YES's from the Waitrss truned producer and Fred "Jaba The Hut" Huebner

If you're lucky, you'll get the above. This morning was my day to make a long commute, so I tuned in and heard a complete analysis ("When I'm on da radio, I has to tell it like it is. Da coaches was more ready den da players last night."), statistical breakdown, and tribute to the seniors on the Notre Dame High School basketball team.

I happened to turn this pos on today as well. I get the kids didn't play but the coaches coached routine - so you are throwing teenagers under the bus now, huh big time basketball coach?

Besides this being the wrong topic for a major market radio show, and that if you do talk high school hoops you are not talking about a team that is less than stellar, I still cannot believe that the ND board is actually pleased with how all of this has developed over the year. It may be publicity, but how does a mafia wannabee, high school drop out add prestige to your high school? If you think it does, then what types of kids (and parents) is your school attracting?

Confession: I didn't send my kid to ND due to concerns I had on scholastics ( and no girls) but I would be up in arms if I was a parent if I knew this guy was making himself to be the "celeb" endorser of my school.

I wonder if Mike even knows what classes the kids take - or what they have to study; he should, given he is molding young minds - as teachers (which he is) sometimes do.

I guess the Board hopes that the kids drop out and join the mafia...

My hour of listening in the car today may have been a new low. There was a big discussion of what it means for a woman to wear her hair "up, down, or back," Mike reading about 20 minutes worth of e-mails (I think because his college hoops guy cancelled on him at 7:20), Notre Dame H.S. basketball analysis, ripping on Gov. Blago . . . what am I forgetting?

By the way, I did get a kick out of when the traffic lady sided with Jen on the hair thing and North says, "Yeah, you knew dey would agree. Dat's what women do." So what does that make Mike and Fred?
