Costas and Knuckles must be buddies. There is no other logical explanation for this.

I wonder if Costas is aware of Pappy's outstanding ratings? I would think "influential" would include winning a book now and then.

Influential?! Well, yeah, I guess he does influence a lot of people to turn the dial away from the Score in the morning.

Pappy - Let me tell ya Bob, I changed radio. Hell, I invented sports radio. People in Chicago love me. I can barely walk down da streets without people asking for autographs or women wanting to kiss me. Now I know how Jordan felt. Is it a burden? Sure. But dats da price I'm willing to pay. Dats da price you pay for bein a beloved celebrity. When you tink of Chicago it's Capone, Daley, Jordan and me.

Mike is on a different stratus than me and not quite as high. It's about titles. Mike's no different than Patrick or Charles or Karl, I've talked to all of them about it. I'm pretty sure they feel the same. They all want to say they are like me. And that's the good thing about it, that they won't ever have the chance to say that. Mike's no different. He's not No.1, like me. And I will always hold that in high respect when I see these guys socially.
