I have to say that this past hour with Shaq has been hilarious. I don't know - does Mike have history with Shaq? Why is he on for an hour?

I normally agree with most posters here that Mike is a moron, but I'll give credit where credit is due, 8-9am has been fun. I can't believe Shaq calls himself the Big Cactus...WTF?!?!!?

Agreed, but you're probably not going to get anyone else to admit that.

Wish I'd heard the interview. Shaquille has enough charisma to make any interview enjoyable. I'm sure they'll put it on the site at some point.

I dialed in to hear that interview. Dull, unfunny, uninteresting, nothing original, damn. Why would anyone care which magazine, food and celebrity Shaq would want on a desert island? (Though North claiming SI stole their version of those questions from him )

Shaq is one of the few players I actually dial in to hear. He is almost without exception funny and even occaisionally insightful. Neither was the case here. North asked questions that I heard Shaq answer in the 1990's. Lets see: The chair is too small (check), Free throws (check), Kobe (check), Rapping/Movies (check), three stupid desert island questions (check), how Shaq is an old school player/father was a disciplinarian (check), North trying to rap "in da house" along with Shaq's horrible songs (check). Although in the interest of fairness, I was surprised to hear that Shaq has never been to a baseball game.

When is his contract up again?

RR I agree with you. I wonder if Mike even knew that Shaq wasn't with Shaunie anymore? Shaq was great, but Mike North went into that "Lemme show you how well I know the brothers" thing which made the interview lame.

Believe it or not, a little of both. Many (not most) brothers don't eat pork, but I would guess that North is exaggerating, as usual.

Since I was being accused of picking in Mike in another thread, let me just say that the Shaq interview was somewhat funny. I like shaq and North knew where to go with him, so it was pretty good.
