Rock could have confidence that they would stay cuz Pappy had a huge contract. They weren't gonna eat that money.

Yes, the management at the Score is stupid. We all knew it would fail.

Some of us also asked "What negotiating power does North have for a new contract?" He had none. Still, they offered him a fair deal. Ironically, Mike North saved the Score from making a bad decision by not taking this offer. They were set to bring him back.

Some here said that Pappy would stay cuz he bring in advertisers. That only he could do that. They said he was a money maker. Can't get rid of him.

That proved to be wrong. Christ, they offered him half of what he was making.

And guess what? I listened to Mully and Hanley the last 2 mornings. Holy shit. They had commercials. Some here didn't think that was possible.

I'm sure some of Pappy's guys will leave the Score. I'm also positive the Score will get new advertisers to replace them for the morning show. And if M&H get better ratings they will bill those ads at a higher rate. It's that simple.

If I remember correctly it was Dan Mason at the NY coroporate office who signed him to the deal.

Who was subsequently let go and rehired back a year or so ago. I recall North lashing out on management for not including him on the memos and invites related Mason's trip to check up on CBS properties in Chicago.
