In hindsight 20/20 vision this is very true. Jesse's terrible at everything he does - EXCEPT producing - much like Holmes, Riles, Hood, and many other good Score producers. (altho Buchman was a bad Score producer)

That is something I have been saying for years. However, you cannot put this one on Mike. Jesse is a man who does not seem to understand his limitations and was unhappy being "just" a producer.

I still say Jesse as a producer and a good co host would put the show back on track.

At some point North decided he so talented that he could pull off a show by himself. Once that happened it was a slow but steady decline. Even North must realize by now that he requires a strong partner. When North started driving the bus he ran it off the road.

Didn't Jesse get Bill Clinton on the air for Pappy?

I agree with your assessment btw - but didn't that go hand in hand with North getting his own show?

He did, yes. I would have loved to have seen Secret Service drag Jesse away that night...

I think Bill Clinton called up a ton of stations in that time. People make fun of Mike Francesca in NY because he made a big deal that they talked to Clinton, but it was his people who were calling up every station for some airtime
