WLS fan base have more then a 10th grade education, they will eat him alive and if he refuses to take calls, that will be something that will piss people off. No one could possibly want to pay Mike to hear his opinions on politics, who would be dumb enough to even consider it?

On Monday June 2, 2008, Mancow made a special appearance, claiming to be a nationally syndicated radio personality, on an early morning news program of the Chicago affiliate of FOX. Mancow was asked to give his opinions on the Democratic Primary, in particular Barack Obama. Mancow claimed that Barack Obama is a closet Muslim and Hillary Clinton had secret information about a video tape showing Michelle Obama in a racist tirade. Mancow insisted this was why Hillary Clinton was remaining in the race, as the alleged video tape would presumably harm Barack Obama's candidacy. Mancow then went on to talk about how his radio program was the fastest growing in the country (Mancow is not on the air in Chicago at all, as his show was dropped from Q101 in 2006). Mancow went on to claim that he was going to meet the Pope in November 2008 and that he was going to visit to Israel as an official guest of the Israeli government. According to him, his meeting with the Pope was arranged by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin (Cardinal Bernardin died in 1996). After this, the news anchors tried to end the interview.

I fail to understand the logic behind ousting Wade & Roma. According to these columns from 2004 - 2006 (I haven't bothered to look for 07-08), they regularly ranked fourth - sixth in morning drive. North was nowhere to be seen on the list; didn't he last rank eighth - in his target group?

Why remove a highly-rated duo for North?

It is a prophetic statement which actually meant meeting (teaming up with) Pappy (Pope, Bookie Priest) over at WLS upon expiration of Don & Roma's deal.

Maybe WLS is afraid that with the coming election, the need to be that conservative will no longer be a popular listen?

I doubt it has anything to do with elections. Roma is just a very tough listen. I'm healthy trinitied out.

Maybe WLS-AM is going back to music, and they'll have Mike spinning Terry Jacks' records.
