You can both talk about how dumb it was not to accept 1 million for 10 years and you turning down $600,000 a year. Both of you thought you were worth a hell of a lot more than you were. No one has been knocking the doors down in 4 years to sign Meier. It happened to him...it could happen to you. You should have taken the $600,000 a year.

Meier did do a pretty good Pappy impression.

That being said, how many times in the last 4 1/2 years has Garry stood over his sleeping wife, pillow in hand?

I disagree dolphin. Meier's Pappy was spot on. It didn't sound like the "Eye-Talian Stud" at all. He also did great impressions of Dr. Phil and Jesse Jackson. I don't think Garry gets the credit he deserves. Neither Dahl or Conn has been as good without him. Is he a weird cat, and the worst businessman EVER? Definitely! But he is a major player in Chicago radio history.

Garry made a lot of money in his career, and was pretty frugal from all accounts (not including the Sabrina debacle). Plus, he seems verrrry pussy whipped. My guess is that he's content counting his money, banging his shrew of a wife, and playing Mr. Mom.

If I remember correctly Garry is actually older than Steve, which would mean he is pushing 60, so he probably made enough to retire on.

Still, a wife that screwed up 2 seperate million dollar deals would be difficult to forgive. She was a realtor and figured she had negotiated some real estate contracts in the past, so she was qualified for the job of agent. That kind of thinking seems consistent with the attitude of most realtors.
