I might as well write about Hub in the "Media Graveyard" because he's dead to me.

Some find him an arrogant douchebag and so be it. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure he thinks of himself as quite an important and influential person in the world of the NFL media. How, in the name of god, could this guy with a national publication and syndicated radio and TV shows allow his picture on this laughable, amateurish, half-ass website--with fourth billing, nonetheless--under Mike, Jen, and Fred as "experts"?

Hub, you look like a goddam fool and I don't know if I'll ever be able to listen to your Score reports again withough laughing out loud at that image of you on North's site.

Because Hub knows that his "status" isn't what its made out to be?

I find him laughable now. I'd love to see if anyone at WSCR will call him on it during interviews.

You know Boers doesn't give a damn, though. I so hope I'm listening the first time he goes,

"Hub, listen....you know I'm old so you sometimes have to explain things to me, but really.....what's the over/under on Rodgers starting every game for Green Bay?" immediately followed by the first few notes of Dean Martin's 'Kick in the Head.'

I think I've had more laughs today on these boards than ever before.

Northie, I've got to hand it to you, you've done it again! Your intriguing combination of arrogance and stupidity have once again produced something so unintentionally hilarious that it's just made my day.

I could also see Ain't That a Kick in Head as the intro tune played before Hub's appearances. That would piss him off, but Goff and Drinky are crazy enough to hit that button and hit it consistently.

I have to beleive, with the surge of the internet in recents years, that Hub's ProFootball Weekly sales are down. Who is gonna buy an Football Paper anymore?

There are so many "football internet sites" for people to get information. NFL.com does a great job. ESPN.com has good football guys. There are many other sites with credibility. It's all free.

Just check out the regular newspapers in this country. That industry is dieing. A fooball paper has to be dieing too. I guess his website could be doing well. Does he charge for acess to PFW web site?

Plus, why would you buy a paper when the news is old the day after. Web sites are on every new developement the second they happen.

No. His website is free. I think I recall a few years ago they charged you to get the content. Can't do that now. Not with the free competition sites out there.

So he makes some ad money from that site. He does have the syndicated TV and Radio shows. I just think the actual "paper" can't sell that much anymore.

He does sell pdf eMagazines. And buttloads of Brett Favre merch. THAT explains his man-love...

heard Hub talking about the Commissoner Roger Goodel calling him at home.

I guess I now must question Mr. Goodels relationship with a professional handicapper and why he is calling him at home?

For a guy who claims to be pretty smart Hub, this was pretty dumb

Couldn't resist this Heavy Fuel Crew moment :

The NFL commissioner called you at home HUB?

WE'RE HAPPY FOR YAAAAAAAAAAA~!

------------

First of all, Hub's always been a prick. When the score use to be good, and Hub was on wgn kissing wanne's ass, he would always say he never would associate with a station like the score.

His NFL magazine was a piece of crap anyway. Big f'n rectangluar pos paper with worthless information.

I don't know how stupid he has become now to associate himself w/ the score. I guess North wanted him to bring some credibility and Hub went along for some cash out of it.

Somebody has to call in to one of Hub's score shows and sneak that question in at the last minute when they get on the air. He'd have a meltdown.

I don't recall the circumstances, but didn't Hub and Mike have an unbelievably huge falling out on the air a couple of years ago. I faintly remember something about Mike setting Hub up for a friendly interview and then really letting him have it when he came on the air and not allowing Hub to even respond. I guess the opprtunity for a share of all of those c-note a month subscriptions was able to heal Hub's feelings of dislike for Mike. Does anybody remember this at all?
