From a website called meta4worldz.com:
Mike North’s Web Sites have crashed, am I the only one to notice? by meta4man on August 13, 2008
It’s been a weird week of watching the Mike North saga, what with the release of his handicapping site, dontfademe.com, and the ensuing silence following it. And today, at least up until this point, his server is down, Day 3, server down. Sigh. Seems to be working that way a lot for Mike lately.
Of course, I didn’t subscribe to his site, with a panel of “experts” that included Mike North, Jen Patterson, Fred Huebner, Hub Arkush, and “the Bookie Priest”. Of those, only Hub could profess to be an expert, and though on the second day they touted being 4-2 for their Monday picks, it still feels like desperation. The site looks clean, and for all I know, could be very lucrative, but is there a worse direction he could have headed?
I am one of those that thinks that a Chicago with Mike North ranting over the airwaves is a better place, but I have to wonder what is going on here. Turning down the Score as they tried to muzzle and downsize him I understand, but I have to believe he has other options than selling picks on the web.
Mike, what’s happened?
