pappy says the economy is fine because when he was in vegas you could not find a room and all the bigname shows were sold out. this coming from our guy, mr blue collar, man of the people. funny that boers and bernsie just were talking about how the poor economy is hurting attendance at many sporting events and restaurants. so here's to nort and company, keep spending that cash, cause yer real estate in vegas is going up in value, right pappy ?

Goes to show you Mr. "Finger on the pulse/I'm just like you" has ZERO clue of what is going on beyond his own little world.

The emails I got from the White Sox all last week, trying to get more attendance shows even in pennant races; folks aren't coming out.

Besides the Cubs/Red Sox/Yankees last home stand; games aren't being played in front of sell out crowds across baseball.

Look at even movie ticket sales. A number of good movies (especially the draw of a Pacino/Daniro teamup) and yet; folks aren't going out to the show.

Look at some malls. We're a few weeks away from the busy time, yet some malls aren't at 100% occupancy; with even some of the bigger name stores closing up.

The economy sucks right now, no question about it. The thing that will get me is that no matter who wins; all of a sudden it will be a "magical" recovery/everything is fine/etc.

Some of this with the economy I believe is manipulated so it becomes a hot-button issue; with both sides pointing the finger.

Pappy thought process.

1. Still has money in his wallet
2. Can still buy rounds when out for dinner
3. Will get free meals from wildfire for at least 6 months

economy is good. Like someone from the score told me, pappy is so stupid, he actually thinks he is smart. I didnt think it made sense at the time, but now it does.

Pappy said the $$ would never change him, it changed him once he got his first check. How much he made is his business, but he thinks because he has a big bucks that it gives him creditbilty, it doesnt, hard work does, the money is just a bonus and to me, pappy hasnt made a effort on anything in 5 years.
