I really don't listen to Farmer, but being that the Sox will be on WSCR that have had him on the air much more and every comment he makes is with someone fmaous in it, but he makes the comment like he is good friends with them.

Example: "Geogre Bush senior showed me around the United Nations"

Guessing that George Bush Sr. doesn't even know who Ed farmer is.

Can't comment on what he said on North's show (didn't listen). But, he dropped Fred Couples name several times in his interview with Mike and Mike on Monday. He had to tell us at least 3 times how he just dropped off his good buddy F R E D C O U P L E S at the airport. 670 better hope they find a replacement that can tolerate Farmer's E G O.

Ed Farmer is the color anaylst equivalent of Chet Coppack. He is long winded, a name dropper and really only interested in hearing his own voice. I cannot believe guys like Hawk, DJ and Farmer stay but Rooney is going.

Couldn't have said it better. He also states the obvious on broadcasts. For example "What the Sox need to do here is score some runs and then keep the opponent from scoring runs."Thank you Ed

He'd phrase it as a question and answer.

"Do the Sox need to score some runs here? Yes they do."

I thought it was interesting/odd that on the broadcast last night, Farmer said something like"When I was on the North show this morning"....I can't remember what he was referencing, but he definitely said the North Show, and he definitely was on that morning.
Just thought it was odd since he was obviously on the air on 1000, but referring to his appearance on 670

Yeah...He was talking about leaving the ballpark after the 14 inning game but still being able to wakeup and make his appearance on North's show. I thought the same exact thing when I heard it.
