I have not posted here much, but I have read this board just about every day for several years, and enjoy what a lot of you have to say. Thought it was time for me to add my 2 cents on Mike's handicapping site, after doing some quick math based on info on his site.

Once you get past the low quality videos, and the dubious collection of "experts" (has Jen made any picks yet?), what else is there to reccommend this site to someone looking for information? The overall record of the "experts"? What is that record? Mike's is shown, currently it is 110 - 97. A slightly winning record, but is it good enough to qualify as an expert? How about Fred and Jen? The records for these "experts" are not even shown.

Looking further into the dontfademe site, (the free portion, I was looking as a prospective buyer, trying to find a reason to subscribe), what do you find? A link to "See More Stats". Great, just the info I need as a prospective customer. Click on the link and what do I find? Nothing. The note says that "Detailed stats by sport coming soon." After 2 months or so, still no stats - kind of fishy if you ask me.

Looking even further, into Mike's bio does provide the following info: "We tracked Mike for 100 games during the NBA and NFL season. He went 68-32 during that period. That convinced us- he's our go to guy."

Okay, let's do the math 68 - 32, convinced them Mike was the guy. Now 110 - 97. So since they (whoever they are) were convinced of his ability, he has racked up an impressive 42 - 65 total, to get to 110 - 97.

42 - 65 nope, dontsignmeuphere.

Don did a nice job there, he pretty much summed up what I am not able to put into words...lol. I do have a good email from Pappy but was warned at the end of it not to post it on "any of dem message boards", so have to talk to the attorney (wife) to see if I can, in short, he says he stand by his record and calls me a bad name

Why can't you post a message? Isn't it your property to do with what you wish? Posting it doesn't make it malicious either....

I couldnt post that email if I wanted to, my laptop is in the shop getting fixed and I cannot access my email from this loaner for whatever reason. Plus I have to agree with GD, sorta a dickhead thing to do if I posted it.....but it will be on ebay

I'm not saying I disagree with you and I don't want RV to post that email.

But, in thinking about this, if RodeoVann had met Mike at a remote, had a discussion with him, and it ended with North (or insert any other person here) calling RV some kind of derogatory name, would that be off limits also? I think if that theoretical post ended up in the Brush With Fame section it would not be criticized for divulging sensitive information. I doubt anyone would call RV a dickhead for revealing the discussion. Maybe I'm wrong.

If North (or anybody) wants to spout off in a written correspondence, he's leaving himself open.

RV is just taking the high road and I think it's a good move on his part. On the other hand, maybe RV should just come out and say North called him a "jagbag" and move on. Or not.

Lol....the name they called me was "a raging asshole".....he might be right there, but the rest of the email focused on his dfm.com site and a question that i asked about why he doesnt blog or do videos when he loses, just when he wins, the reply was "we do those when we have time, its not a daily event", which of course is a lie imo.




That was me, but Anne said I could share them privatly and since she was still collecting comp. pay from wscr, I didnt want to post those here. Anne might have been bad on the mike north morning show, but she is cool.

But if I had a private conversation with someone at a private location and the person asked me not to repeat the conversation, I would give that person the courtesy even if it was not an enjoyable conversation.

I find it incredibly ironic that North, of all people, is telling us to "get everything together" in that video. This was the same guy that just hours ago had ZERO W-L stats on his site, and had Oakland playing a different team.
