Former Bears radio analyst and current WSCR-AM NFL analyst Hub Arkush has joined Westwood One as part of its nationally broadcast Thursday night NFL games. Arkush will be the sideline reporter for the Thursday package beginning Nov. 6. He also will work the sidelines for NFL playoff games and the Super Bowl. Former Bears and current Packers play-by-play voice Wayne Larrivee has been hired to do some "Monday Night Football" games and NCAA tournament games for Westwood One.

Listening to Wayne last night, I struggled to remember why we loved him calling the Bears. He was just so "blah" yesterday.

I disagree. I miss Larrivee. I love when he does a football or basketball game on a Saturday afternoon, a Bulls game that night and then a Packers game on Sunday.

Keep in mind that "Marvelous", as NBC Sports' Bob Costas once called him, is also the #1 PBP of the NBA on Turner/TNT Sports. Marv & Mike Fratello also call the New Jersey Nets' games on the YES Network...How appropriate! Wayne Larrivee is no stranger to calling "Monday Night Football" on Westwood One. Wayne relieved Marv on quite a few occasions last season, and might be behind the mike again Monday at FedEx Field for Westwood One's radio call of the Steelers/Redskins' game in Landover, MD.
