I guess they have. WSCR loses again. MVP now a 2.0

Congrats guys. You're sucking worse at the SCORE each and every month.

You folks must be so proud!

I'll give the tired excuses on Rock and Buchman's behalf. It takes time, the rating system is flawed, and my all time favorite.....we are a good show but no one knows it.

Ratings were good....heard the #'s earlier today, not too shabby.

The system is flawed, it always will be.

BTW.....getting my page back soon, looking for suggestions for content to put on there.

Rock

p.s. - The Green Day Live CD is excellent....only one flaw, too much of American Idiot on there, needed some more from Dookie and Nimrod.

Uh, have you people forgotten what was going on in September and October? Why do you think MVP did so well?

Yep, the ratings must be flawed if they show your show has more than 10 listeners.

Yes, MVP finally has a 2 handle but look at that Gospel station!

Still say that Papi should start singing "there is a golden harp in heaven for me" to grab that Gospel share.

i'd also like to see the streaming ratings and see if that kicks them up over the classical or alternative stations i've never heard of. The Lite and 95.5 probably have more becuase it is on in most offices.

the streaming ratings are probably flawed as well. not sure about the rest of you, but often i have both stations open at once and keep one on mute while I flip back and forth. i assume i cancel myself out and assist both of their ratings...

I'm waiting for good old Keeping score to come here and tell us all how great the ratings really are. The station is really a disaster and obviously not getting any better. The numbers show that no big influx of new listeners have tuned into the station. It is that simple.

I don't know exactly what the ratings came out at and I am not here to defend Mike and/or the Score, but I do agree they are flawed. I would say inaccurate is a better term.

However, for Mike to bring that up only when his ratings are down and to use it to his advantage when it came to getitng some big money, doesn't exactly speak volumes to sticking to one side of an issue.

That would be a fine example of "Who you crappin?"

It is an absurdly small difference in the ratings between the two stations considering the Sox were at their ultimate peak.

What are the actual dates that the ratings span?

With the way the Sox pennant chase heated up down the stretch, the way they responded, and then their run through the playoffs, I would honestly have expected the ratings difference between the two stations to be much, much greater.

Maybe you miss the point, there is NO GROWTH IN THE RATINGS. Not a very good sign.

I don't understand your logic. If people tuned in to 1000 to listen to the games only, how does that explain the lack of ratings for the rest of the score lineup? You mean people didn't want to listen to the stellar lineup lead by North? Seeing most of the games were at night, how did that impact the daytime hours?

First of all, we don't appreciate "Guests" around here.

Secondly, is their a breakdown per hour that I can see somewhere? Cause obviously from your statements, you have seen such a breakdown.

Thirdly, does ANYBODY know the span of dates that this rating period ran?

And lastly, do you not recall the enormous spike in ratings last year/early this year that WSCR enjoyed due largely to the impact of Illini basketball?

What don't you understand about 1.7 now versus 1.7 last time means no growth. Math is not that hard. In fact, WFMT and WKQX moved up from 1.5 to 1.7 to tie them. Numbers are simple for most people, but there are always exceptions, as you continuously prove.

The only really stupid one is the one trying to make excuses for the failure of the score to increase it's audience AGAIN. The last time the excuse was that the new lineup wasn't in place, you and your favorite station just keeping losing and making excuses. It's old and tiresome.
The other two stations grew and the score continues to fall on the ratings list of all stations, but I guess that point is too complex for a shill like you.
You are too boring to continue to deal with.

Another point that needs to be made is this. North can't just say that he has a good male 18 to 52 demo any more. The reason they switched to the new format was to increase there demo. While that male nitch is fine for the other shows, North needs to get women as well.

"The system is flawed" thing......Big fan echoed my intital point that I made to Rock in another board. Beebe negotiated 1.75 mil based on the flawed system. So North should be forced to give it back. Rock it might be flawed but did you ever think that maybe your low rattings might be an error on the high side. Maybe it's worse then what arbitron claims. Thats what I think.

Who is this guy? Can you be serious?

TWO sports stations.

one 99% local and one 75% (at least) national.

YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT MVP WON LAST MONTH BECAUSE OF THE SOX?

If I want to hear about my Sox, I would listen to the "LOCAL" station. "LOCAL" reaction. "LOCAL" media types and guests.

Sure MVP had the team but they have T-W-O ( 2 ) "LOCAL" shows.

Dan Patrick, Jim Rome do it for ya on the White Sox?

AT best the Sox helped but the National shows should help the Score get better ratings at the same time slots. Apparently they dont.

People in THIS city would rather listen to a NATIONAL sports show talking about the Yankees, T.O., Selig, and the NBA dress code over a "LOCAL" show hosted by this DIPSHIT with three teams doing so well in CHICAGO.

Thats is the bottom line. And that is sad!

No one is a bigger Sox fan then I am. But I didn't say to myself....I'm a sox fan therefore I must listen to Mike and Mike, and Dan Patrick or else I will be a disloyal. Changing the dial is not that complicated Sox pregame starts at 6:30... Day part radio has nothing to do with the White Sox. If people can't understand this then they are stupid.

Yes, overall the Sox made the difference. But the fact that the Score has close to 2 mil dedicated to the mourning show it is pathetic that a syndicated show beats North. By the way Drive time hours are where radio makes there money any way, and you are wrong when you say B and B are tied with MJH

Lets make this VERY simple for you Mr. SCORE.

Lets chat about JUST THE MORNING.

No Sox games.

Franchise vs. Former update guy at Score (Greeny) and Big Burly goofy Buffone-esque co-host.

ALL local vs nothing local.

You say the ratings should have been better for MVP considering the Sox world series run.

Cant the same be said that the ratings should have been way in FAVOR of your idol North considering the factors that I already stated?

Please answer this-

Why does the NATIONAL SHOW on MVP consistently beat North?

Why? WHy? Why?

Cant wait for that excuse.

Rediculous? You spew Mike North! Get a room dude!

That was the lamest reasons I've ever heard on why Mike and Mike beat North every month.

Could it be that more people like the MVP morning show? Possibly? Likely?

As far as I'm concerned, you've lost any bit of the little credibility you had with your lame excuses.

And yes he IS your IDOL.

Score....you are the minority here. You should be voted out!

Impeached!

The tribe has spoken
