How pathetic was it when North goes "I'm sure the White Sox won't mind" and then goes on to do a live read for "caucasion man" I'm sure he did this on his own. The show is White Sox property. He should have to pay for that read. He should have to pay for the reads on his mourning show but ill bet he scared Mitch into allowing that.

But ofcourse guttless management at the Score won't say a thing to him about his pimping his lousy CD on a White Sox show.

Do you guys think North paid for all of the equipment in his house. I think that stuff is permenently there. Cuz he did alot of Wise Guy shows from there.

If it's not always there that means the Score has to have an intern or producer run over there for the set up. Man North has that station by the short and curlies. How the hell does someone with garbage ratings and a salary that isn't even close to being justified have so much pull

Let me address your concerns.

1. You have it all wrong. Reinsodrf has played North like a computer game! He basically made North his lap dog to get the Sox and get $2.5 M. North basically could onyl say positive things about the Sox even before the season if the Score wanted them.

Then on top of all of that, he comes on North's show to see him face to face, and we all know, North doesn't say much to anyone face to face, and if he does it is usually a softball version of claims he makes when they are not there.

2. Mike North spends most of his time getting advertisers and keeping them. That's how he got where he is. North and Bebe know exactly how much revenue they bring into the station. Mike spends more time than probably anyone in the business kissng advertisers asses. Going to dinner with them, etc.

Look as who advertises with him? A DUI Lawyer? A Loan service that gives 18% mortgages? A jeweler in a mall? Gardinaire?

I once saw Mike at a remote. The Score did an all day thing at Hi Tops on Opening day and when I looked at the stage, they actually has what they called a VIP section. (10 x10 witha table) and it was like 3 guys from the Sopranos from some trucking company that used to advertise with him. They had the banner up, like anyone was going to think about getting a truck. the point being he made them feel like they are VIP's even though they looked like total dorks. If mike went to MVP or anywhere else, they would go with, just to hang out with Mike.

So what exactly do I have wrong? The part about North kissing Reinsdorf's ass, or him being an egomaniac? Your post said the same thing myself and many others have written, but thanks for addressing my "concerns".

So WSCR would have outbid themselves by a larger amount. If the deal was ANY good, why didn't ANY other station even put a bid in?

You are correct, sir! Earlier this year the Sox radio rights were pretty much A World Series Win away from being as undesirable as the Blackhawks - nobody wanted them - and the Hawks are now just a lowly paid advertisement on WSCR with a lowly studio host. (Jesse) So yeah, WSCR was pretty much bidding against themsleves! Thanks Mitch! LOL

Listened for an extended stretch today. Definitely better than his morning extravaganza. Like when his vocal chords are shot and sound less like those of the jovial little bitch that shows up for the morning show. Loved the way he handled the dumbass who called to inform up that the Packers suck. Also kudos for not doing his f'd up signature pauses (We are[pause] live [pause] in my basement) as much as he does on the morning show.

Not sure what you guys listened to in the first weeks of the show, but I heard some of that show today and that was a total joke!

First it sounds like he is doing the show from the kohler toilet! The echo remind sme of some bad local college radio, make that High school.

Second, was listening to Mike ask hypothetical questions like "What do you think folks?" and he pauses. Like awaiting a response. Then he asks another question.

It reminded me the late Night/early morning show of Joe cain "someone give me call"

No kidding and he's throwing out the idea that Frank could come back. He said he would be good insurance. Hey mike you dummy Frank wants to play. I'm sure of the 16 American League teams someone can give him a DH role. How stupid is North.

Joe Cain. LOL!!! Those were the days,huh? He was, without a doubt, the worst Score "analyst" of all time. I remember him on B&B one time, admitting he fell asleep during the Bears game, so he couldn't comment on it. Dan and Terry were incredulous. Classic.

I have not heard any of the Sox show yet, but rergarding the quality when Mike did every show he could possibly do at his house, the quality was terrible.

It sounded exactly like what it is was, a show from a basement.
