Fred Huebner is passing his free time with a new blog. Fred's blog, entitled "From The Idle Mind of Fred" just started and can be found at this link http://fredhuebner.blogspot.com/

Wow. Fred must be bored out of his mind.

Detailing the story of "snowblowing his drive way" is the first sign of that.

-I had a snowblower

-Got it from my brother

-I gave it away cuz it can't fit in the garage.

-My drive way is small but not that small.

-I like to shovel.

-I have a heart condition so my neighbor did my drive way.

Tune in tomorrow when Fred describes peeling his orange.

Hopefully the juice won't get in his eye.

I liked it. He's doing something and I don't think he is a bad guy. Lighten up guys.

How come he didn't post here and tell us about this?

He doesn't love us anymore.

Maybe if his mind wasn't idle he'd have helped the show.

Still, I agree the guy is in a bad place and deserves some good thoughts

If Fred were on the with Murph from noon to 2, I might consider listening. They were pretty good in the morning IMO. Right now I listen to abolutely nothing during that time since either option is awful.

Maybe he could do sports updates on a morning TV show. Anyone know anyone with a morning TV show?

Sure I'm bored out of my mind...but I don't even like oranges, so don't look for that on the blog anytime soon.
It's just a way for me to keep my "idle mind" from turning to jello.

Also, I appreciate all of your kind thoughts and sympathy, but I'm okay with what happened. I wasn't happy at the SCORE the last six months doing updates in the afternoons.

I am hoping to broadcast the Chicago Fire games on My50 again this season. I also am looking for some other opportunities in the Chicago media, but with the latest news of McNeil getting let go, I'm not sure what the future of either sports station in town is.

Mac wrote a couple of weeks ago how sad it was that a National show, "Mike and Mike" has the best ratings of any sports show in town. Unfortunately, the guys from ESPN may have read that and realize they can throw more national shows on the air and not pay anyone.
