Most of you who comment on the show Don't Even Listen To It! (Idiots!) You have pre-conceived notions - you have blinders on - you wouldn't know good radio if I dropped it in your lap like a lap dance. Your blanket statements show that you are already biased and that you never Listen to Fred or Anne - you just shoot your mouths off. This is exactly why we don't have a message board on northtonorth.com - and - I work hard for my money and my (wrong) salary is none of your business and it doesn't rise or fall depending on you morons here.

So.....it's our fault you have not done well in the ratings? I think we all can have a opinion on what good radio is and I would expect you to say that you think North's show is good, but I would disagree and by going to name calling, it shows that you have gone the way of your leader and decided eveyone is stupid because you cant put one decent bit on during the week, dont blame us, blame your lack of planning.

You have worked for North for what, 2 years? I have been listening for 11 years, so that means I was tuning in when North had a good show, I only turned him off when you and the rest of your crew showed up. What does that say? Hmmmmmm........I will leave it at that.

We wouldn't know good radio if it dropped in our laps? Hmm, it seems that there are many people in Chicago who must not know good radio, since no one listens to the show. So go on ahead and keep setting the standard for quality radio, the rest of us will continue to be ignorant and not listen to the show.

And being that myself and almost everyone that ever wrote something on this board spent a good chunk of their life in chicago listening to Johnny B. Steve and Gary, Kev, Heavy Fuel crew and Even your God , Mike North, when he was with Jiggets, that was Good Radio.

So like a Lap Dance, there are good Radio shows and bad shows, and when a fat ass, pimply, stinky G string bends over in my face (making myself sick thinking about it), I know it's bad.

I love when someone shoots there mouth off with nothing to back it up. Ultimently we are the one's who decicde what is good radio or not. Not some second rate produce. It's obvious that the people have decided it sucks. You said you work hard Buckman. As Danny Mac once said, Don't ever confuse activity for accomplishment. Norh sucks.

Hey Buchman, thing to remember... not everyone on this board made their dislike for the North show personal among the rest of the show's staff.

You calling the general people who post here "idiots" just goes to show what the rest of the morning show staff probably think of everyone here. I think they get the heat here because the Score heads have passion and bascially they have bought nothing to the table and North's show is worse now compared to two years ago.

For one, North has done this himself for the most part and now he has to deal with it and if North can get on the radio and bash anyone for whatever dysfunctional reason he may have, then so do the posters on this board.


VERY, VERY few keep things about North and his show on a PROFESSIONAL level - like Big Fan generally does, and precious few others.

When you type the word PROFESSIONAL and include Mike North in it, you are going into very dangerous waters.

Again, why is it ok for Mike to do it? Mike attacks people on a personal level daily, but yet, this boards turns it around on him and he has to send out his guard dogs to defend his big mouth. I have met Mike a few times and he is a nice guy, but to me, he is a nice guy with a horrible radio show and thin skin.

I dont think I typed that you worked for WSCR and if I did, I apologize. I understand your passion for the Score, I like some of the shows they have, just not Mikes. I dont see any value to it, but it doesnt mean some dont enjoy it and thats fine.

Like I said earlier, I enjoyed him and Jiggs and even him and Buffone, but somewhere along the way Norths shows became to much about him and his "guys" and I find that boring.

I have told Mike things via email or remotes why I dont like his show and he heard me out, more then likely could have cared less, and I repsect that about him, but I dont respect that he has a show that is dragging a station down and he refuses to acknowldge it. His show now in my opinion is going to be the reason he rides off in the sunset and when he looks back, he can say he did allot of good for that station, but he also has to take his share of the blame for the death spiral it is in right now and if he does, he is a stand up guy, but I have my doubts he could do that. Again, just a opinion.

You know, I know and anyone with a brain cell knows that North has controlled that station for years. He bragged how he kept Marriotti from working there and some others. North was the reason for the breakup, that has been stated by Mac, Jiggs and even Hood, so since they work there, I dont see any reason for them to lie.

Also, he is suppose to be the main guy there, so the station goes as he goes, so when they were doing well, he got the praise and enjoyed it, so he needs to take the heat when times are tough.

For the record, Mac isnt my hero. I tune in when I have a chance, but I dont listen to him unless B&B are running commercials for 5 minutes.

I dont have anger over anything that happens at the Score, I dont think I care that much what they do, as long as the product is good, which at this time is so-so at best. (My opinion)

Listen, I hope Mike turns it around and kicks ass, but in its current setting, I dont think he is going to do it, but I could be wrong, I just dont think so. (Again, my opinion)

I will stand by my previous post though, North has had control of what goes on at WSCR for a long time and because of that, the station has been hurt. But we can disagree, isnt that what these boards for anyway? I gotta go to bed, I have to be up early to feed the horses, have a good week.

Here is my take on the personal attacks. Some of you think that because Mike has done it, that it is ok to do it on this board. My opinion is, why stoop to his level? Obvioulsy I'm not asking people to stop with the perosnal attacks on North, but I'm just saying, if you don't like how he does it, and you don't like him, then why resort to his level? You are acting just like he does. Surely nobody wants to be like Mike North, right?

For the record, I dislike the morning show... a lot. And for Steve, I don't listen regularly. Most of the people who don't listen regulary have a very good reason... we just can't do it. If the show were better, maybe we would. I gave the show a chance, and I could only listen no more than 15 minutes after it started. I tune in once in a while, but overall, I have to change the station after a few minutes. It's not for me. The host and co-hosts, in my opinion, are not doing a very good job. It may be their fault, or it may not be (maybe they just don't have it together)... but whever it is, it's just not working. And that is nothing personal.

Whether the attacks are personal or professional, why do you think it is such a disproportionate high number of POSTERS/PEOPLE/LISTENERS that Post negative comments about North's show?

And this same vast negative vibe is not felt in other sections?

Sure there are negative comments about everyone, but seems that close to 90% or more of what is said is just not good. Some said well, others said in a degrading manner, but then again, I think the host doesn't paint so many people in such a great light either.

So to respond to Keeping Score and the other 2 people that support his cause, you can't deny there is a large unhappy group that is obviousely Score fans. So why wouldn't management or Mike try to find out what is wrong instead of doing the same thing?

Look at the Sox and the Hawks. Both teams that had issues with fan relationships in the past and they had or have meetings with fans. No, I am telling the Score to have a meeting with anyone, but look at what is being said and try to change it.

Well Guys, as I stated last week, the ratings trends will come out tomorrow. WMVP will continue to lead, but look for WSCR to go down to about a 1.5. Too many Blackhawk games during sox postgame talk . Oh and the gospel station will still lead.

My god! This Score "Apologist" is sure making a name for himself. North is now a public figure. He has made tons of money. He's made hundreds of rude personal comments on his show. As far as I'm concerned, its open season on everyone involved in his show. He organized that show. Its sucks. He use to be okay back when he had Jiggs to straighten him out. Now- BAAAAAD. The station has reached new ratings lows and thats a direct reflection on the franchise Mike North. I choose not to listen. I check in for my "local" Sports News on some mornings but it sure doesnt take long to remember why I dont come back often.

The ones to really blame here are the idiots who decided to throw all of their eggs in the Mike North basket. Think they wish they had a "do-over"?
