Apparently North's ever-increasing spots and self-promotion is not only acceptable but even encouraged by Score management. It apppears that many of the old "Score-heads" who contribute to this board, primarily in hopes of regaining what was sadly lost since North somehow pirated the station, are wasting their time. Never in the history of mass media has so much been done to sell a bad product. And this after literally years of sagging ratings. There must be more to this story than meets the eye (or ear).

In any event, why not just create a Mike North Network as follows:

6-10: The Mike North Morning Show - same old crap
10-12: The Mike North Morning Show Post-Show - Mulligan and Hanley disect the previous 4 hours, featuring highlights and replays
12-2: Northapalooza - Mike Murphy evaluates North's influence on the Cubs, featuring player interviews asking what everyone thinks of North
2-6: The Lifestyle of Mike North - Dan and Terry (in their inimitable way) intelligently evaluate North's impact of current culture: language, politics, dining and drinking, bathroom habits, real estate holdings, etc.
6-10: Just the Facts - Doug Buffone offers insights into the character and personality of Mike and BeBe. Also looks at North's impact on the Bears, featuring interviews with players on their opinion of Mike North.
Overnight: Miss a Little, Miss a Lot - Continual replay of the Morning Show w/Jesse Rogers

I listened all last night from my parking lot perch and EVERY HOUR there was an ad to "listen to the North show" / some hours even had 2 ads / in my 8 hours I heard it at least 10 times.

6 AM - 10 AM: Mexican Regional
10 AM - 2 PM: Mexican Regional
2 PM - 6 PM: Mexican Regional
6 PM - 10 PM: Mexican Regional
10 PM - 6 AM: Noches Romanticas (Romantic Nights)
