I have not looked at the play list for Caucasian Man. Does he have the Riley hair question on it? If not, I think that is a big mistake as that was a classic moment.

That's exactly what I meant in the earlier posts that the CD interview selection is nowhere near "the best of..." OK, I like Walter and Butkus, but not because these are great interviews. I just like these two.

I am guessing there were either consent or copyright issues.

Insiders, what's the word?

copyright issues would make the most sense.
I would have to believe that those folks featured on the cd would have to have given premissions given that $ is to be made off this "thing."

Doesn't North have to pay the writers of those two songs as well. Just wondering?

I am sure that was the point of his alleged meeting with Shakey for the White Man song. He claims the authorship to the Tiger Woods song. As far as the use of somebody else's tunes... I don't know... there was a dude posting here who was in the copyright law business. Forgot his name... Maybe That Dude Knows.

Hairy Riley is not on the CD - it's only "highlights" from the TV show / so yes, it's probably a thorny legal issue on The Score owning the radio interviews / and Northie must own the TV rights/

As long as the music is an original recording, then there is no need to ghet any permission from anyone to do a parody.

yes anus, but doing a parody on the radio is one thing....selling it in form of a CD commercially is another. I think he is required to pay those original song writers.

Nope, he needs to pay no one and needs to get absolutely no permission even if he makes a million dollars off of it (which of course he won't even get 1% of that). Parody is totally protected by US copyright law, and as long as you are recording original music, he needs not pay nor acknowledge anyone.
