If you're really interested in improving this show (and finally beating the gospel station), you should:

1) Get rid of Anne. She's a doormat on this show (when she was supposed to be a force to level Mike out), and her lack of knowledge concerning sports is glaring (see the repeated discussion of tackles during Vasher's 108-yard TD return as just one example).

2) Put Fred back with Murph (assuming, unfortunately, you're still going to have a Murph). They've been consistent(ly bad) since WSCR switched to 1160. But still, if they're going to be around, might as well as lump them together and minimize the assault on our eardrums to one show.

3) I'd love to say clear out $1.7 million in salary (but we apparently have to wait until July. In the meantime, I think back to the Cameron & Langford show on WMAQ. It was a high-quality production, with a great format. Perhaps there's a way to format the morning drive similarly.

4) Move Jesse Rogers back to producing. Make him the morning show producer - and keep him as far away from a microphone as possible.

You're asking a station whose past ideas for good morning radio include Shaer, Shaer & Memolo, The Bull & The Bear, Murph & Fred, and now the Mike North Morning Fiasco, to make smart decisions. Not likely.

By the way, isn't that a sad lineup for a CBS-owned station in the Chicago market? I was cringing as I typed those names. I know there's not much Murph love on these boards, but I'll take his show hands down for my morning drive over anything else on that list.

If you take the weekend Sports Central crew, Memolo and Koz, and move them to Score mornings, they'd at least beat the gospel station. BTW - is MNMS even beating the Polish station?

I am going to create a mult name just to abuse you for that statement. Murph was bad and fred "the sox fan" could not seem less interested in talking about the Sox.
