not really sure why this has not been reported but the announcement of Norths webio format is basically telling COMCAST thanks for the morning infomercial. unless I missed it,north is getting no new sponsors for his monster program, so why not sell some internet ads. So when J Hood goes to sell JJ Fish some ad time, is he going to push COMCAST or WEBIO?

Is Next Step Medical going to support both?

Well, the guy who owns "Next Step" also owns the webio site.

From Ed Sherman's article:

The site will be co-owned by David Hernandez, the CEO of Next Step Medical Staffing. Mr. Hernandez's company also is the title sponsor of Mr. North's "Monsters in the Morning" on Comcast SportsNet.

Ahhhh

But he has an ownership in Webio and he just sponsors The Comcast show.

I like the cut of your jib.

That is kinda fucked up if you think about it. At least from Comcasts view.

The article also says that the webio show will simulcast the TV show, so your premise is a bit off.

I thought Comcast is getting North for free? He gets paid based on what he brings in. So, Comcast is getting programming for free. Why would they be fired up? I am not a North fan by any means, but the situation seems to make sense for Comcast. Even with a slight conflict of interest.

If my budget to advertise is $1500, that might get me a week on COMCAST TV or a year on Webio advertised all day?

So where do I spend my money Mr. Salesman?

Why would Comcast cancel MITM? So they can broadcast another 3 hours of looped sports news reruns by Gail Fisher & Luke Stuckmeier? Please...who the hell does that serve?

John

I thought I heard that a 30 second spot was like $10k on ESPN.
