Has anyone that posts or reads the board bought caucasian man? I haven't. Has anyone seen the cardboard cut outs of North at best buy? I have wish I hadn't.

Does Mike know some regional head of Best Buy or something (ie is he one of Pappy's guys)? How the hell else did he manage to get Caucasian Man on the racks of a major store?

No kidding...retail stores are very anal (pun intended) about floorspace. That ridiculous display is taking the space of something that could actually be producing some revenue for the store...

I was at the Best Buy (North & Sheffield) to pick up the Sox Pride DVD. Made it a point to walk around the CD section to see if I can spot the cardboard Mike. Don't think it was there any place prominent, if at all.

Maybe they sold out!

I didn't see it there either. Not in the Elston Ave. store either. It would be fun to punch out the cardboard Mike, but that's probably why they aren't there, someone already did.

Been to both the Orland Park and Joliet Best Buys the last few weeks. Anytime I've been there, I didn't even occur to me to look for the North CD or any cardboard cut-outs of him. Nevertheless, I never noticed one or actually have ever seen any of the CDs.

Consider me lucky, I guess.

The cardboard cutout was in the Skokie Best Buy store for a few days. I saw it the day after somebody here said they saw it at that store. I had to go back to the store the next day. The display was gone. I didn't see any CDs either, but then I really didn't look for them either.

If it was a true best of CD I could probably be talked into purchasing it. I'd love to hear some of the great Monsters moments, a bit from Mike's first day on the SCORE, a little Kammala and (I cannot remember what Pappy's character was named), maybe some highlights from the days of half hour crosstalks, some great Ditka show moments and even a parody song here and there. If it was something representative of the good work Mike has done on the air it would be a worthy CD (kind of like Dahl's 20 Years In The Can). It does not sound like Caucasion Man even attempted to reach this level of content.

North probably put the display up himself and when it was discovered they took it down...

Going to say that a display of Papi with "Secret Asian Man" may not have gone over so well with some Asian people. of course I am sure it really didn't offend anyone, because Papi didn't think it offended anyone, so by his amazing reasoning he would really think that anyone of Asian persuasion would not be offended.

To add to it, he propbably knows an Asian guy that he buys his chinese food from and he gave him a CD, so that proves it!

He gave one away today during "Mike's Rants"(which sucks btw). How long before the mass giveaway begins? "First tirty callers to da station, get a copy of my CD. Light 'em up!"

Open Letter to Mike North-

Dear Shit for brains,

In an ongoing effort to rid the city of radio frequency stool, I pledge to keep blasting you until you are canned or die. I dont care which comes first.

With that said, I and I bet many of the HATERS on this board would purchase youre CD on one condition. Buy airtime for a thirty minute INFO_mercial selling your CD. Think of all the animals being served at your expense. You would be the laughing stock of America (more so than now)

"Hi, I'm Mike Nort. For $9.99 plus $7.oo shipping and handling, You too can by my greatest hits"

Shit I'd tape that and watch after my soft porn goes off at 4AM.

Animals belong on a plate, next to the potatoes.

Join People Eating Tasty Animals now, order a steak, just like Mike does.

I am willing to buy it but I can't find one used; that must mean that nobody bought it new yet, hence, there are no used copies!

I did not purchase the CD, but I did recieve it as a "gag" gift for Christmas. I saw some of the "interviews" that were on the CD, and some of the ones that COULD have been interesting were the Walter Payton, Harry Carey, or Bobby "The Brain" Heanan interviews. Unfortunately, he just had snippets of those interviews. When I say snippets, I'm talking about 1 minute pieces. At least put the whole damn interview on there. And it was all from his TV show. Nothing from the radio. I wasn't expecting much, but with that being said, it was STILL disappointing. I would have rather heard some old radio segments. That's my take
