I used to be a heavy listener when I was in town but now rarely go to your station. Why? Commercial overload! I understand you can't compete with satellite when it comes to commercials, BUT the standard 6 minutes of commercials, then 90 seconds of talk, then another 10 minute block was too much. Also, lack of compelling hosts. Does it take a UIC grad to relaize that North is best solo? Mike is best when he just takes tons of calls and pushes the envelope, ala "Jag Bag" segment. Period. Finally, why you think Boers and Bernstein are good I will never know. Never liked them. They think their s--t doesn't stink. They are NOT funny. Their segments are tired and played. They are rude to callers. They are NOT regular guys. At least as of December before I got Sirius. If they are making more than $10,000 per year, it is too much. Former Score listener. Heavy Sirius listener.

Regards,

Southern Illinois Mike

I agree with you about North. It seems around here, that the concensus is that North is at his best when paired with a strong minded partner ala Jiggets. I disagree. When North had the noon-4 shift solo was when I feel he was at his best. It was caller intensive, and when he was controversial, at least it seemed like he meant it. Now it's so obvious that he's controversial for the sake of being just that. It's just to get a reaction, or to force an argument with Anne, which is always a circle jerk from hell. I do realize that North solo was far from perfect. He did tend to drag topics on too long, but hell, he's done that with partners as well. There was WAY too much BeBe (any is too much for me). Fritzie and his goomba pals bringing nothing to the party, and adopt-a-mutt, also pop to mind as negatives. I guess for me the show won me over with all the callers, and the back-and-forth banter. He seemed so much more genuine then, an actual "voice of the fan". 1.7 mil North sounds NOTHING like that North.

Either way, I/We/You agree that Mike North in the role he is in now SUCKS!

My analogy is like the call that should be reversed, everyone sees it on the repaly at home, it shouldn't take more than one look to see a guy dropped the ball, but for some reason the refs sit at the TV looking and looking, then they come back announce "IT IS A CATCH"

Mitch, Paul and any other Score Exec or above, you are the Refs!
