"Hi I'm Mike North fillin' in on White Sox weekly... I think Ozzie was wrong not to go to the White House and once I've made up my mind Nothin' is gonna change it .... click off!

That's one of the reasons you're so highly thought of in the world of sports journalism Mikey... always willing to keep an open mind & listen to any/all viewpoints

Actually, the worst part of the show was Farmio saying something to the effect of "I know George Bush, a dear friend, he just happened to be the President of the United States" and then going on to tell how they held each other in a chokehold when he, Paulie, and Buehrle took a train to DC to see him during the Baltimore series.

Farmer has this insatiable need to drop names. We get it, Eddie, you're a connected man, keep it!

Farmio is a fine addition to the Score cast!

At least they're consistent!

THEY STAY BAD!

Farmio is such an arrogant prick. He is constantly dropping names of all of the golfers, hall of fame ballplayers, and movie stars that he knows. Farmio probrally meets these guys once and then all of a sudden he can tell people they're friends. I guarentee you if someone were to ask Bush about Farmio Bush would say "who".

Any person who claims to have more then 3 or 4 close friends in life is a liar. There is just not enough time to have more then that in life.

Do you guys think that all of these "celebrity friends" of Farmio go around saying "ya know I'm close friends with that below average ex relief pitcher." Ofcourse not these guys probrally chat with Farmio for a few minutes at the ballpark just to be polite. All along they can't wait to get away from this looser. Farmio, on the other hand walks away saying "cool I've got a new best friend to brag about on the air"

Sorry for the 2 posts guys but this "friends" thing with Farmio has annoyed the hell out of me for years. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

He also comes of as very patronizing, like he's broadcasting to a special ed class. The only thing I remember about him as a player was Al Cowens giving him a beatdown.

A show on the score disappointing? Hard to imagine.

My advice, lower your expectations.

I was absolutely amazed at the Saturday show. Would I have gone to the White House, who cares???? Reinsdorf and others have it right, it is an honor no matter who our president is and that later in life, some individuals may regret not going. But it remains a personal choice and that personal choice of others has no impact on my life. To stand by/hide behind the rhetoric of Mayor Daley, Jr. and foam at the mouth as if this is treasonous is ridiculous. To waste a Sox show on this topic is pitiful.

I don't know which was more amusing, to have that clown as the host from his home basement where he had people cut off because they were repeating themselves (isn't that the theme of his act/show on a daily basis???) or that by the time I picked up the Sunday paper and learned that four, count em' four(4) Dallas Cowboys made it to the White House in '94. This weekend was yet another clear reminder as to how pointless and ultimately, irrelevant North and his show truly are.

The funny and stupid thing about North is that it was known that Ozzie wasn't going to go 2 weeks ago. Pappy didn't say a word about it. Mayor Daley makes a comment and all of a sudden it's a 4 hour show and Pappy is offended. The brainless twit didn't say a word 2 weeks ago.

Let me get this straight Pappy. It's Ok to make racial slurs on the air and defend other racist like Fritzy. But it is unamerican and wrong not to go to the White House. Thank you for making that clear.

I'm sure more than that made it to the White House...it's just that not all of them were in Washington D.C

Complain all you want about indignant white sox talk on Saturday. You were all given a treat compared to the indignant Michelle Kwan talk I heard this morning.

This morning North says, "I know for a fact Jerry Reinsdorf is not happy about this." (Ozzie not going) Huh?? Hey fuckstick, just a few days ago I heard a clearly agitated J.R ON YOUR SHOW saying this situation was blown WAY out of proportion. Do you think everyone is as fucking stupid as you? Then again, you've never been one who lets the truth get in the way of your agenda. Get over it jagoff, and quit milking this non-story to kill time on your pathetic show.

Yes, I heard that too while getting ready this morning, he was talking to Durbin, and he actually said that 'Reinsdorf wasn't happy about it', WTF?? They played clips all day were JR owned him saying it was no big deal

Anyways, Bush just gave Farmio a mention, besides creamed baseball pants, this will lead to 100 years of him bragging about it

Now they'e running a promo for the North show, specifically playing the cut of Reinsdorf saying it's been blown way out of proportion, and that he did not try and convince Ozzie to go. Pappy, you are a special kind of stupid.

Great usage of 'fuckstick', an underused, underappreciated cuss word.

Don't let the facts get in the way of promoting the MNMS.

Rock, even as dumb as you are. You must see the contradiction. Your very station is playing a promo where Reinsdorf says that it is no big deal and its blown out of proportion. The interview was done onyour very mourning show no less. Yet Pappy is spewing that Reinsdorf "must be upset about this". Get the flash cards out again for Pappy. If you won't I will get them out for you Rock.

My two new favorite quotes, both coming from this thread.

"Hey fuckstick..."

AND

"Pappy, you are a special kind of stupid."

Very solid!
