To TV viewers of this generation, he was Blake Carrington on "Dynasty" and the voice of "Charlie" in both the TV and feature film versions of "Charlie's Angels". Actor John Forsythe has passed away at the age of 90, believed to be cancer-related.

Shark: Did you hate John Forsythe? That is the only reason that I can think of as to why you would have cheated him out of two (2) years on this earth. John Forsythe (nee: John Lincoln Freund) was born in Penns Grove, New Jersey on January 29, 1918. By my math, that made him ninety-two (92) years of age when he died.

I will never forget John Forsythe's tales of youthful otter-like frolicking in the Delaware River, glorious childhood experiences which shaped his future unique acting style (a/k/a "The Delawarian Otter Method").

When I posted it earlier today, it was still developing, and I didn't have as many facts as I would have liked. When I post anything on this board, I try my best to have all the facts before I put it here. That being said, thanks for the correction. John Forsythe was indeed 92 years old when he died earlier today.

While I did mention John as "Dynasty" breadwinner "Blake Carrington" in the '80s and as the mysterious voice of "Charlie" in both the classic TV series and the 2 "Charlie's Angels" movies, I bet you didn't know this. Producers of "Charlie's Angels" NEVER CREDITED John once as the mysterious voice of "Charlie" on the classic series that aired from 1976-81, which starred the late Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd, Tanya Roberts & the late David Doyle as "Bosley". In fact, here's more on John's death via the following link:

So at the time of your post, John "The Otter" Forsythe's date of birth was still developing? Admittedly, I am not a supreme expert in this field, but I am fairly certain that his date of birth was pretty firmly established - going as far back as January 29, 1918. Perhaps you are referring to the well publicized Forsythe family scandal regarding certain, shall we say, "birth" records.

I did know that John Forsythe was uncredited as "Charlie." But did YOU know that John Forsythe was married three (3) times, and that he divorced his second wife, Joanna Galt, because she had developed a permanent case of adult-onset hydrophobia, and her apple pie was subpar? John Forsythe was a major star. He was NOT going to eat subpar apple pie! No, sir.

That Blake Carrington was all class! It's sad to see people you admired in years gone by,pass away. John Forsythe had a great run, though at 92.
