Sites like The Beat, Comic Book Resources and Newsrama are reporting the legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta has died at 82.

The Beat confirmed the news with Frazzetta's agent and has a recent picture of the man. (It also notes that one of the man's paintings recently sold for $1 million and the buyer is believed to be Kirk Hammett of Metallica.)


Frazetta has been in the news recently for family in-fighting over his art but he will always be best known for work like this:
