Solid actor. Kind of knew this was coming. My favorite roll was when he was in that texas chainsaw #?. This along with that bitter old and fat little guy that died yesterday means there is yet another that will join them in the yet again hollywood threesome of death.

Dennis Hopper was at his best as the creepy bad guy, but I also loved him as Shooter in Hoosiers.

Linkletter + Coleman + Hopper = 3.

lena horne died recently too, and she was a pretty big star back in the day.

Hopper was awesome. Always played a great villain. I saw a recent picture of him about a month or 2 ago and knew the end was near. It was sad :(

his scene in "True Romance" ranks among his best; I still loved him in "Easy Rider" and "Apocalypse Now".

They say deaths come in threes ... Lena Horne, Gary Coleman, now Dennis Hopper.

We're still ½ short ...

Kid Cairo will forever despise the man for this scene:

As for me, I think his best role was the crazy referree in the Nike commercials.

The scene with him and Walken in True Romance is one of the most perfect in cinema history. You know from the mid point what he is trying to do and what the outcome is ,yet you can not take your eyes off the screen.

Although he was nominated in 1987 for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in "Hoosiers", I'll never forget Dennis Hopper's role in another movie he co-starred. I have the 1994 action film "Speed" in my DVD library. Hopper was very convincing as a terrorist who planted a bomb in a Santa Monica bus and kept Keanu Reeves & a young Sandra Bullock on their toes by having them drive this bus at 50 mph or the bomb would explode.

Back to "Hoosiers", Maris Valainis, who played "Jimmy Chitwood" in the basketball movie, was a guest today on "The Dan Patrick Show". Maris said that Dennis was a "great guy" during the filming of the modern classic, and that he was clean and sober as well. Maris also told D.P. that he was nervous shooting hoops in that classic scene with Gene Hackman, who played the coach in the flick. Maris didn't think he could shoot that many baskets and that it was getting late with rain coming back then.

Pretty cool tribute to Dennis Hopper from interviews and movies. Is about 23 minutes long. Enjoy
