It's actually more then 25% of the show. If you guys consider the new clock the Score is on. They front load the hosts air time in the first half hour. So it's more then 25 % when you consider that they load the commercials to the back end any way. So basically Mully and Hanley can't get into their show until the 2nd hour.
In a normal hour, the show would go from 10:03 to about 10:26-27 with no commericals. They have about 2 minutes of commericals, come back and do a scoreboard update at 10:30, and then take some calls until about 10:38 or so, take 5 minutes of commerials, come back for about 3 or 4 minutes, take breaks until about 10:52, come back for 1 minute to preview the next hour typically, and then break to the 11:00 hour.
So, I'm seeing 25 + 10 minutes (including the scoreboard update) + 4 minutes + 1 minute each hour which would give about 40 minutes each hour.
Now, I like the 25 minutes at the top of the hour, but I hate the last 30 minutes or so of each hour. If they need their 20 minutes of commericals each hour, I just say have four, 5 minute commerical breaks....you can have one 10:25, 10:55, 10:45 and one other one at any given time....
