I am tuning in now cause I am curious to hear more of Matt on the MNMS. I have heard Fred in the background, so why is Matt doing the updates?

Fred should do updates and talk less during the show.

Matt is still talking twice as much as Fred does, and actually offers thoughts unlike Fred who just 'yeah', 'you're right', 'i think so too', etc.

Just throw Fred back with Murph. It's the only time he's ever fit in on a show.

My hunch is that management is just testing this new format/partnership and they won't acknowledge an official change until they view it as successful. If it doesn't work out, then Drinky "the update guy" simply goes back to producing B&B and they don't have to admit to another failed partnership. IMO, it's a vast improvement (so far).
