As I think of Score Radio past at least I can laugh at the all time worst Score Radio slot of all time. THE JOE CAIN SHOW!

"It's 3 Am, someone call me please ..I am dieing here"

At least I can laugh at that...and it was 3 AM--

So where does Annie rank in the all time Radio worst people on the air?

I think she would have been good on the Garry Meier Solo Gig, but after that, Traffic on WGN is about her speed.

UNless you ask Rob "I am on the take" Feder AKA "Alleged Media Critic"

Good call BearBoy. Not only was he awful, but he used to be one of the Score Bears experts. One of the last times I heard him on the station, he was joining B&B to break down the Bears game from the day before. However he sounded drunk off his ass and was totally incoherent. But get this - in addition to being drunk, he hadn't even watched the Bears game. He was totally unprepared and it was the greatest most awkward moment I've ever heard on the Score.

I guess Annie's not "Joe Cain" bad.

Joe Cain was totally Fun Bad! I am sure they still have the quotes somewhere on tape. It's like Jessie Quotes. The shit is funny. Never meant to be funny, but it is!

Now maybe if the Boys (Matt and Jason) can grab some of Annies show stopping statements- then we have something.

But to answer the question. Can't think of a worse fit for a radio show in Chicago. Rover was pretty bad with Bartosch?

Agreeing with Bearboy, Annie is a historical Bad fit. If she was a good fit, Mike would not have to fight for her and have his publicsts (Bebe) write letters and websites for her support.

Didn't the SCORE allow one of its listeners to come on the air for a shift during the early years? I remember it being some guy who used to call in to tell all the hosts that he could do a better job. He was a mess when they gave him his opportunity.

In the Score's early days, wasn't Buddy Ryan one of their football "experts"? I seem to remember Mike North going off on a rant (a real rant of his own, not one of the stupid rants on the Mike's Rants segment) about him and how unprepared he was and how he was "stealing money" from the station. I think people would call and say something like, "What do you think of the receivers on this team the Bears will be facing Sunday" and his standard answer was, "Well, I haven't really seen these guys play, so I don't know." OK, Mr. Expert.

Mac actually had a week of listener co-hosts while Terry was enjoying the trade winds of Hawaii. Some, Raphael from Berwyn were very good. Others, myself, awfully bad!!

I know that Grobber has a lot of fans on this board, but his pairing with Steve Dahl on WMVP following the Steve & Garry break-up was painful. Dahl didn't want to do sports-talk and his view of Les was strictly as comic foil.

I thought Dahl was with Bruce Wolf, which wasn't good either, a painful listen. Was he with Grobber too? I gotta admit I didn't listen too often to that trainwreck.

The fact that the north show is the supposed to be the morning drive time lead off show for the score makes annie the worst fit. Buddy Ryan was fun bad as Terry turned Buddy's frequent befuddlement into yet another inside bit. There were times that Da coach sounded completely sloshed during his Ditka show appearences with north. Does anyone remember when Rodman was a??? I guess you would call it NBA expert on Dahl's shortlived sports talk show on AM 1000? That was a true trainwreck.

The worse expert in history of Chicago sports talk was the concussed Merril Hoge on Dahl's show. He would forget the question while answering it.
Just another proof that the best comedy is totally unintentional.

DR. ken!!!!

You are ripping on one of my favorite and ingenius radio bits of all time.

"LES REMEMBERS"

It was on Dahls show, Bruce invented it. You would call up and talk about a game you remember because of some special event. Maybe it was your first game and soemthing happened memorable and then Les would remember more about the game than you did. lol

It was a classic.

Sorry BF. I was a huge Dahl/Meier fan and after that split I was pretty bummed with the Dahl/Wolf pairing. Plus, I was out of the area and only heard the show infrequently, so I must have missed that.

Never heard that bit, but it does sound good.
