If the idiot son keeps getting to run things, they will be really bad soon and for a long time.

Funny how his life did a 180 once he got into real estate. Goes to show you don't have to stick with what you studied in school.

Seemed like a really cool guy.

I think you mean 11. Six with the Bulls and 5 with the Lakers. Still really impressive.

He won two as a player with the Knicks, although he didn't play a game in the 1969-70 season.

Factually speaking, Dr. Jerry Buss was actually 80 years old, not 79. Still, Dr. Buss' Lakers won 10 of their 16 NBA Championships under his watch. The most amazing part wasn't just winning all those titles, but the $67.5 million deal that Dr. Buss paid for the Lakers, Kings, a ranch and their longtime home the Forum in Inglewood, CA back in 1979 from Jack Kent Cooke was at that time the biggest sports business deal ever. Dr. Buss wouldn't settle for anything other than a Championship during all his years owning the purple & gold.

Oh really?

Did you get this from the same source that said John "The Otter" Forsythe was 90 when he died, when in reality he was 92?

Ramona Shelbrune from ESPNLA.com was among those via Twitter that said that Dr. Buss was 80, not 79.
